Will the Freedom Pass be sent to my home address?

Those applying for the older persons pass will have their pass sent to their home address. Those applying for the disability pass will have to come to the Inspire office to collect their pass in person.

When can I apply for the statutory older persons Freedom Pass?

You may apply for the statutory older persons pass when you reach the age of the womens pension age if you were born between 6th November 1952 and 5th October 1954. People born after 6th October 1954 can apply on their 66th birthday.

My pass has stopped working or I have lost my pass. How do I get it replaced?

As long as you are still at the same address when you first got the pass, you just need to phone 0300 330 1433 to ask for a replacement. This will cost you £10.

I have moved from outside the London area into Bexley how do I get a London Pass?

If you wish to have the London pass you will need to make a completely new application for either the older persons pass or the disability pass.

I have moved from another London borough into Bexley what do I do about my pass?

Please call 0300 330 1433 (London Councils) to arrange for your details to be transferred over to Bexley. You will be required to send in proof of your address before the details will be transferred. If you have a disability pass you will be required to provide proof of your disability. This may mean attending our office for an assessment.

I am now 60, is there travel pass for which I can apply?

You may apply for the 60+ oyster card, please go to the Transport for London website for information.

How long will I have to wait for a freedom pass application to be processed?

If you apply for the older persons pass it should take 10 working days to be sent to you once your application has been submitted. If you are requesting a disability pass, please allow 4 weeks.

How do I apply for the older persons pass?

You can now apply for the older person freedom pass online. If you do not have a home PC you may use a computer at one of the many libraries within the borough. Paper forms are available on request for those who cannot complete an application online.

How do I apply for the Freedom Pass for people with a disability?

The eligibility for the disability pass for people under pensionable age is in the Transport Act 2007. The details can be found on the Department for Transport website. 

For how long is a Freedom Pass issued?

The pass is issued for 5 years at which time if you hold a disability pass you will have to be reassessed to determine your continuing eligibility. If you have had a replacement pass within the first five years and the pass has an expiry date beyond the five years, you will still be required to be reassessed.
