Equipment & Assessment Officer with

Deaf & Hard of Hearing people

21 Hours per week (over 3 full days)
Salary £ 10,633 - £11,735

Based in Slade Green

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join Inspire Community Trust for the provision of quality services for people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Inspire is a user-led, independent charitable organisation. It exists to enable, empower, and enhance the lives of people with physical and sensory impairments.

The equipment & assessment officer will be responsible for;

Undertaking assessments with Deaf & Hard of Hearing service users.
To support & communicate for Deaf BSL users in order to enable access to services and promote independence.
To issue and demonstrate environmental aids
To participate in awareness raising and training.

You will receive appropriate induction, supervision and support with training to undertake your duties.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of issues relating to people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and have a minimum of level 2 British Sign Language and a good standard of English.

It is also essential that the candidate have good computer skills, and an awareness of conducting assessments.
